The Republic of Maldives consist of a string of atolls in the western Indian Ocean. It lies between latitudes 1°S and 8°N, and longitudes 72° and 74°E. We have visited the Maldives many times since our first trip in 1998 to Bandos in North Male Atoll. Our latest trip was to Royal Island Resort in the Baa Atoll in August/September 2011. |
