Scottish Nudibranchs

Introduction

Capturing the images that appear on the site was the start of my interest in nudibranchs and other sea slugs. This lead on to attempting to identify the animals I had seen, not always a straightforward exercise.
The identifications are mine, based on Bernard E. Picton and Christine C. Morrow's excellent publication (now only available on the web here) A Field Guide to the Nudibranchs of the British Isles and on Bernard Picton's and others' occasional and generous advice.

NE Atlantic Nudibranchs - this Facebook group is a great resource for local identification and discussion.
OPK Opistobranquis - this excellent site is dedicated to Iberian and mediterranean species with most of those we see.
The Slug Site - my favourite site where you will find a comprehensive list of links to all the best nudibranch sites on the web.
The Sea Slug Forum - Dr. Bill Rudman's site is now inactive but remains a superb resource.
Opisthobranchs of the World - Erwin Köhler's site provides links for the widest collection of images of nudibranchs.
